A beautiful springtime garden wedding at one of Birmingham’s favorite garden venues
Richard and Daniel Boone-Thomas were married on a gorgeous April day at Aldridge Gardens in Hoover, Alabama. They crafted a beautiful, joyful, and intentional event for their friends and family to enjoy, and it was an honor to help them plan their day!
As they told me at some point early in our planning process, they never expected to be able to do this and celebrate getting married, so they wanted their wedding to reflect not only who they are as a couple, but also celebrate and party with all of those people who have supported them! We cannot think of a better definition of a wedding, for any couple. That is what it’s all about, friends! #loveislove
Keep on reading for some of the details about their day! We excel at “matchmaking” our couples with their vendor team, and this was one heck of a team that came together.

Richard & Daniel’s Groomsmaids
The Vendors
Venue: Aldridge Gardens – we used the Camillia Garden for the Ceremony and the Pavilion for their Reception
Florals: Vera Flora – We have worked with Bryanna for years, and she so fun and creative!
Photography: Oh Honey Photo Co. – Mary has become a sweet friend and quickly became a fav for our couples!
Catering: Table & Thyme – Excellent food, stunning presentation, custom menu. Thomas exceeded expectations and together we created some major surprise and delight moments for Richard and Daniel’s guests with their food! Read more on their blog about the wedding here.
Rentals: Decor to Adore and PropHouse Birmingham – Gorgeous linens, the perfect reception chair, and all the fun rentals from these go-to rental companies!
Lighting & Draping: On-Site Productions – perfect cafe lighting and soft draping, as always!
Band: All In One Party Band via EastCoast Entertainment – they are a true party band and kept it going all night! Our booking agent Hunter really took time with Richard and Daniel to find the perfect fit for their event!
Cake: Daughter’s Bakery – the style that Daughter’s is known for, the semi-naked cake with crumbs, was started by Christina Tosi at Milk Bar, which has special meaning to Richard and Daniel. So it was the perfect choice for their wedding cake!
Stationery: Minted, designed by Daniel Boone-Thomas – Daniel is an art director, so he designed a beautiful suite for their paper details, including a beautiful crest.
